Venture Products unveils innovative technology to help repel bed bugs
Non-hazardous, ultrasonic sound waves provide safe, effective solution to pests
FAIRFIELD, NJ (December 19, 2011) — With the number of reported bed bug infestations doubling annually, individuals, families, and businesses have struggled to identify effective solutions. Now, Venture Products, LLC has developed breakthrough, ultrasonic technology that helps repel bed bugs from sleeping areas.
Insecticides and other chemicals used to block bed bugs can potentially trigger serious health-related complications in people – to the point that the cure can be worse than the original problem. In fact, instances of fatalities have even been linked to exposure to such chemicals. But the new, patent-pending technology incorporated into Venture’s ForceField Bed Bug Pest Repeller is entirely chemical-free, relying solely on ultrasonic sound waves to drive the insects away.
“Now, we’re able to battle bed bugs with a chemical-free technology that has proved to be remarkably effective,” comments Steve Fischer, Venture Products partner.
The completely portable ForceField Bed Bug Pest Repeller can be powered via either battery or an AC adapter. In lab tests, 100 percent of bed bugs were repelled from the area surrounding the unit within 24 hours. During the course of one week, the unit effectively repelled 96.6 percent of bed bugs in its immediate vicinity.
“This is the ideal method for addressing bed bugs,” Fischer adds. “There’s really no downside to using this product. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do.”
Venture has marketed ForceField ultrasonic repeller products – targeted primarily at rats, mice, roaches, spiders, and ants – for several years. The Bed Bug Repeller represents a significant advance, however, in that it features new, dual speakers that operate at a significantly greater frequency and decibel output.
The new ForceField product will be available nationwide, via select retail outlets, in the first quarter of 2012.
